LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:

Visit www.gtcc.nsw.gov.au/webcomm/Page/Page.asp?Page_Id=69&p=1 or call the Manning Valley Tourism Centre on 1800 182 733 to discover the unspoilt beaches, rivers and forests of the beautiful Manning Valley.  There are two local golf courses within minutes of Duck Under and the award-winning TallWoods Golf Estate is a 30minute dirve away.  Wingham is an unspolit, authentic country town laid out around a town Common in 1852.  The Manning Valley Historical Society operates its main museum from Wingham, directly across the road from Duck Under.  The museum's collection is facinating for adults and children alike.  A self-guided Heritage Walk, covering some 20 buildings and sites around Wingham's centre, can be taken from here.  Wingham Brush, a remnant of the dense rain forest that once lined the Manning River, has extensive boardwalks from which giant Moreton Bay Figs and a colony of protected Grey-Headed Flying Foxes can be seen.  Wingham Brush and the Manning River (complete with swimming, boat launching and bbq area) are all a few minutes' walk from Duck Under and the town centre.  If you are lucky enough to around on the first Saturday of the month, take time out to visit the Winhgam Farmers Market, held at the showground.

Further afield, day trips and circuit drives can be taken to beaches (30 - 40 minutes away) or inland to the Bulga Plateau and Ellenborough Falls (the highest in NSW); or to Gloucester and the Barrington Tops.
